LYSNING is a band I produced and mixed: a 4-track EP, released in May 2021.

Somewhere in Oslo breathes Lysning, a musical pact initiated in 2017 between Ingvild Våge (vocals) and Bjarne Liland (guitar, keyboards). The resulting dream-pop approaches melancholy on the lop-side without disregard for joy on the other. For them, their music is its own universe, situated at the top of a ladder of folk, acoustic, ambient and electronic genres. Their songs bleed vulnerability into catchiness, and honesty into the personal.

As soon as their song "La det gå" was uploaded to the page NRK Urørt, it was played multiple times on the radio channel P3, and on  “Spillerom” on P2. It was also used in the TV series “Unge lovende” and, singularly, in a reportage on Tv2. It continues to spread, but Lysning have many other songs. They have now recorded their first EP for a very near future release. Somewhere they breathe. (press release by Barry Kavanagh)
